Language and Learning
Anastasia Knaus holds the Master of Education degree, for upper secondary level teaching (Gymnasium und Gesamtschulen) in English, German, and Educational Science from the University of Cologne. She also completed complementary studies in teaching German as a Second Language at the University of Cologne.
At the Mercator-Institute, she has been working as a research associate in the project W!WW? (Wissen! Was wirkt?) since 2018, and in 2019 she joined the project COLD (Competencies of school teachers and adult educators in teaching German as a second language in linguistically diverse classrooms) where she currently is doing her doctorate with a dissertation on teacher’s attitudes towards multilingualism.
