Language and Education System

Nadine Mayer holds a bachelor’s degree in Translation (Spanish, English) and a master’s degree in German as a Foreign Language. She worked as a German Language teacher in serveral institutions, such as universities, refugee hostels for minors, and studienkollegs. Since August 2019, she has been part of the Mercator Institute as a research associate in the Language and Education System Department and as a team member of What works? (Wissen! Was wirkt?) where she coordinates the transfer format Basic knowledge of language education (Basiswissen sprachliche Bildung). Since 2020, she has also been working on the project KANSAS in the Language and Learning Department.
