Angelika Gundermann M.A. studied art history, German and Romance languages and literature (Italian) at the University of Cologne. Then she worked for many years as an author and editor for various media, including wdr.de. She also worked as a lecturer in adult education. Since 2014, she is working at the German Institute for Adult Education (Deutschen Institut für Erwachsenenbildung - DIE). There she worked on the development and operation of a digital platform for teachers in adult education as an editor. She was also involved in the Erasmus+ project DELPHI (Development of Continuing Professional Development for Heritage Interpretation staff do facilitate Lifelong Learning for social inclusion and European cohesion) as a research assistant in 2018-2020. Since 2019, she is a research associate at DIE in the meta-project Digitization in Education (Metavorhaben Digitalisierung im Bildungsbereich). At the Mercator Institute, she is responsible for project communication in the meta-project Language Education in the Immigration Society (Metavorhaben Sprachliche Bildung in der Einwanderungsgesellschaft) since April 2023.
